What you give up β€” and what you gain

JPG is the universal photo format. Smaller files, near-perfect compatibility, accepted by every form, every social platform, every print shop. The trade: JPG cannot carry transparency. Every transparent pixel in your PNG has to become an opaque color when it lands in the JPG.

Most converters silently flatten transparency to white and hope you do not notice. AnyResizer surfaces the trade-off: pick the fill color before you convert, see what the flattened result looks like, then download. If a transparent PNG needs to stay transparent, pick WebP or AVIF instead β€” both support alpha and compress better than PNG.

Quality 90 is the default β€” keeps screenshots, graphics with text, and photo content readable. Strip metadata is on by default. Drop fifty PNGs and download a ZIP with consistent .jpg filenames.

Features

Smaller files than PNG

JPG at quality 90 is typically 50–80% smaller than the source PNG. Universal compatibility too.

Fill color picker for transparency

PNGs with transparency get a color picker. Pick the background, preview the flattened result, then convert.

Browser-side conversion

Files never leave your device. Open DevTools and watch the Network tab β€” zero upload traffic.

Where PNG-to-JPG conversion pays off

Email attachments under tighter caps

JPG at quality 90 is typically 50–80% smaller than PNG. Slip a screenshot under a 5 MB attachment limit.

WhatsApp, Telegram, and chat apps

Some chat clients preview JPG cleanly but treat PNG as a generic file attachment. JPG keeps the inline preview.

Print shop submissions

Many print workflows require JPG. Flatten your PNG to JPG with a precise white or branded fill color.

Old CMS or wiki uploads

Legacy content management systems sometimes reject PNG or strip transparency badly. Convert to JPG once, upload cleanly.

Government and bank portal uploads

Many forms accept JPG only. Convert your screenshot of a document to JPG before upload.

Photo album or scrapbook

JPG is the lingua franca of photo storage. Convert PNGs into JPG before consolidating an album.

Built for PNG-to-JPG, transparency-aware

  • Quality 90 default β€” screenshots and graphics with text stay sharp
  • Live fill-color preview before you convert
  • Strip metadata removes EXIF, ICC, and any tracking data
  • Per-item error isolation β€” one corrupted PNG does not abort the batch

How to convert PNG to JPG in three steps

  1. Drop your PNGs

One PNG or fifty. Each goes into the queue with the same settings unless you override per-file.

  2. Pick fill color and quality

For PNGs with transparency, choose the color that will replace transparent pixels. Default fill is white, default quality is 90.

  3. Download the JPG

Single file saves directly. Batches arrive as a ZIP, with .jpg filenames.

Tips for clean PNG-to-JPG conversions

  1. Tip 1:

Use quality 90 or higher for screenshots that contain readable text. Below 80 the text starts to get muddy.

  2. Tip 2:

Pick a fill color that matches your background β€” avoid white if the receiving page is dark. Otherwise expect a visible seam.

  3. Tip 3:

If transparency must survive, do not convert to JPG. Use WebP or AVIF instead β€” both support alpha and compress better than PNG.

  4. Tip 4:

Strip metadata for shared photos β€” also saves a few KB and removes any embedded EXIF or ICC profile data.
